Clinical Learning Opportunities of Midwifery Students in Ilocos Sur, Philippines

The study determined the extent of clinical learning opportunities and second-year midwifery students' level competencies. It looked into relationship between their competency. research employed a descriptive-correlational design. respondents were 93 students enrolled in three schools Ilocos Sur, Philippines, during SY 2019-2020 eight instructors (CIs). was conducted these to look capability providing needs that are essential full development students. Since it is believed competencies lies competence, assistance, opportunity provided by (CIs), quality environment active participation competent autonomous this can have facilitatory role. A questionnaire checklist content validated pool experts utilized as primary data-gathering instrument. Approval conduct secured from Office President or Dean Principal School Midwifery before data gathering. researcher distributed through google forms. analyzed using mean simple linear correlation analysis. Ethics Review Committee University reviewed ethical considerations thoroughly. student-respondents Very High opportunities. They “Very Highly Competent." significantly related student respondent’s competency level. Therefore, recommended 1) CIs continuously provide various area extend support creating conducive will contribute graduates. 2) academe fully adhere prescribed CMO exposure all areas where they acquire necessary knowledge, skill, attitude graduate who well prepared cater mothers children.
